Datuk Seri Mirza Mohammad Taiyab joined the Tourist Development Corporation Malaysia (TDC), as the organisation was known then, in 1982. He has been directly in charge of various key portfolios in Tourism Malaysia including advertising, international promotions, conventions, marketing support services, communication and domestic promotions.

His academic training, experience in the corporate world, and inclination to business and management, led the Board to appoint him as the General Manager of two international resorts, namely Langkawi Island Resort and Tanjung Jara Beach Resort, which were owned and managed by Tourism Malaysia then.

Datuk Seri Mirza headed the Tourism Malaysia office in Frankfurt in 1989, overseeing tourism promotion efforts in Germany, Austria, Italy and Switzerland, followed by his appointment as the director of Tourism Malaysia Tokyo office from 1995 to 2000. He was appointed as the Director General of Tourism Malaysia on 1 September 2006.

Datuk Seri Mirza graduated with a diploma in tourism administration and a bachelor degree in business administration. While in service, he continued his studies in business administration and received a master’s degree from Ohio University in 1993.

For his outstanding marketing efforts internationally, Datuk Seri Mirza was awarded the title of “Tourism Marketing Man of the Year” by the Pacific Area Travel Writers Association (PATWA) in 2004 during ITB Berlin. With such wide and extensive tourism-related experience, he has also been duly recognised for his excellent services. He was conferred the Ahli Mahkota Perak (AMP) award by the Sultan of Perak in 2003; the Johan Setia Mahkota (JSM) award by His Majesty DYMM Yang DiPertuan Agong in 2005; the Darjah Dato’ Setia DiRaja Kedah (D.S.D.K) award by the Sultan of Kedah in Jan 2016; and the Seri Mahkota Wilayah (SMW) award by His Majesty DYMM Yang DiPertuan Agong during Federal Territory Day on 1 Feb 2016.

Dato’ Sri Abdul Khani Daud joined the Tourist Development Corporation Malaysia (TDC) in 1985. With over 30 years of experience in Tourism Malaysia, he has served in various capacities and divisions including enforcement, marketing, promotional support, domestic marketing and advertising, before being appointed as the Deputy Director General (Advertising & Digital) on 20 June 2015. Previously, Dato’ Sri Abdul Khani has served as Special Officer to the Minister of Tourism and also Chairman of Tourism Malaysia.

Throughout his tenure with Tourism Malaysia, Dato’ Sri Abdul Khani has headed several overseas offices, namely Perth, Australia (December 1990 – March 1994), Singapore (April 2001– June 2004), Johannesburg, South Africa (June 2004 – June 2006), and Bangkok (February 2008 – April 2008).

Dato’ Sri Abdul Khani graduated with an MBA from MBA (Aust) and Master of Oxcell from Master of Oxcell (UK).

For his outstanding contributions to the country’s tourism industry, Dato’ Sri Abdul Khani has received several awards. He was conferred the Darjah Indra Mahkota Pahang (DIMP) Award by the Sultan of Pahang in 2012, and Darjah Setia DiRaja Kedah (DSDK) award in 2013, as well as Darjah Kebesaran Sri Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang in 2016.

Dato’ Mohmed Razip Hasan joined the Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board in 1983. He has served in various capacities and divisions, namely then known as Tourist Development Corporation Malaysia (TDCM). Enforcement and Facilitation,Project and Development,Market Development, Research, International Promotions, Human Resource & Administration, Communications & Publicity, Advertising, and International Promotion (America/Europe/Oceania), before being appointed Senior Director of Management in March 2017. During his tenure, Dato’ Mohmed Razip has also headed Tourism Malaysia overseas offices in Vancouver and London, and he was appointed Special Officer to the Minister of Culture, Arts and Tourism in 1998-1999.

He graduated with a master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) (Marketing) from University Putra Malaysia (UPM), Malaysia and holds professional qualification as Member of Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport (MCILT) (UK) and Certified Executive Coach (University Malaya).

In May 2015, Dato’ Mohmed Razip was conferred the Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang (DIMP) award by HRH the Sultan of Pahang.

Iskandar Mirza Mohd Yusof joined the Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board in 1990. Throughout his tenure in the organisation, he has served in various divisions, including Corporate, Research, and Domestic Promotion, before being appointed as Director of Corporate Communication Division in March 2017. Besides that, Iskandar Mirza has also headed Tourism Malaysia offices in Stockholm (1997 – 2001), Sabah (2003 – 2007) and Thailand (2009 – 2013).

Iskandar Mirza graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) and a Master of Science (Applied Economics) degrees from North Texas State University, USA.

Manoharan Periasamy joined the Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board in 1991 as an Assistant Director. With over 25 years of experience in the organisation, Manoharan has served in various divisions including Promotional Support, Advertising, and Corporate Communication. In June 2001, Manoharan was appointed as a Director of Tourism Malaysia office in Mumbai, India. Upon returning to Tourism Malaysia Headquarters, he became Director of Advertising Division, followed by Director of Corporate Communication Division, and currently is the Director of Package Development Division.

Manoharan obtained his Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) degree in Political Science from the National University of Malaysia (UKM).
